Street Mercantile, our latest

Project.
Before Fertile (MN) native Darla McWilliam transformed the vacant building
she knew as "the old bakery" on Mill Street into
Mill Street
Mercantile, residents of this 125 year-old Polk County town
(population 842) had to travel 50 miles to Grand Forks, North Dakota for
basics like thread and underclothing.
Darla decided to combine those basics with an eclectic blend of
merchandise ranging from kitchen gadgets to Scandinavian sweaters.
The store, located in a 19th century brick building that also once housed
a drug store and insurance agency, now offers a broad selection of items:
cards and stationery, home décor items, housewares, gift books and
cookbooks, hobby and craft items, and apparel and accessories for men,
women and children.
